13 May 2026 – Politeknik Brunei (PB) participated in the 10th Huawei ICT Competition Asia-Pacific (APAC) Finals and Awards Ceremony, held at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 13 May 2026. Representing PB were Stuart Anak Gerina and Ahmad Aiman Darwish bin Mohammad Yusri from the Level 5 Diploma in Cloud and Networking, Intake 14 (July 2024), and Jonathan Muli Anak Philip from the Level 5 Diploma in IT Network, Intake 12 (January 2023), accompanied by Cikgu Tan Szu Tak, Head of the School of Information and Communications Technology.
The competition was conducted online on 26 March 2026, with the students participating virtually from PB’s Ong Sum Ping Campus and competing against participants from across the Asia-Pacific region. Held under the theme “Connection, Glory, and Future,” the Huawei ICT Competition provided a platform for students to demonstrate their ICT knowledge, technical competencies and innovative thinking, particularly in emerging technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Their participation provided valuable international exposure and experience in a competitive regional environment, while contributing to the development of industry-relevant ICT skills and strengthening PB’s commitment to nurturing future-ready technology talent.
