5–6 August 2026 – Politeknik Brunei (PB) student Muhammad Faiz Darwisy bin Mohammad Shazatol Rizam from the Level 5 Diploma in Cloud and Networking, School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), represented Brunei Darussalam at the ASEAN Youth Summit on Digital Resilience & Responsible Use of New Technologies held in Pasay City, Philippines.
He participated alongside five other Bruneian youth delegates and an officer from the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports in regional discussions focusing on digital resilience, online safety, ethical digital governance, data rights, cybersecurity and youth leadership. The summit brought together young people from across the region to exchange perspectives, share ideas and explore approaches towards promoting a safer, more inclusive and responsible digital environment within ASEAN. Faiz’s participation provided valuable regional exposure and opportunities to engage with contemporary digital issues while contributing to his development as a socially responsible and digitally aware youth representative of Brunei Darussalam.
