5 March 2026 — Politeknik Brunei held a Khatam Al-Qur’an and Tahlil Ceremony this morning in conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadhan 1447H / 2026M at Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque.
The ceremony was graced by Yang Mulia Pg Dr Saiful Baharin bin Pg Haji Duraman, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, as the Guest of Honour. Also present were Assistant Directors, senior officers, officers, academic and non-academic staff, and Muslim students from Intake-15 (July 2025 and January 2026 sessions).
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the Khatam Al-Qur’an ceremony led by Yang Mulia Muhammad Hazmi bin Haji Rajab, an academic staff from the School of Business. This was followed by the Takhtim recitation, Tahlil, Doa Khatam, Dikir Marhaban, and concluded with a Doa Kesyukuran.
The ceremony forms part of PB’s annual Ramadhan initiative to encourage the recitation of the Al-Qur’an, strengthen unity within the PB community, and seek the blessings of Allah Subhanahu Wata‘ala.
The event was organised by the Islamic Education Unit, General Studies Department, the Co-Curricular Development and Enrichment Centre (CDEC), and the Student Representative Council (2025/2026 session).
