24 November 2025 – Politeknik Brunei (PB) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) formalised their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This event represents an important step forward in strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. The ceremony was held at Politeknik Brunei’s Ong Sum Ping Campus in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Representing Politeknik Brunei at the signing was Yang Mulia Pengiran Dr. Saiful Baharin bin Pengiran Haji Duraman, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, witnessed by Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Armah binti Tengah, Acting Principal of Politeknik Brunei. Signing on behalf of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) was Yang Mulia Mr. Ang Wen How, Education Relationships Lead of ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, witnessed by Yang Mulia Ms. Joanne Goh, Senior Business Relationships Manager of ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia.

In attendance as the guest of honour of the signing ceremony was Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, the Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education. Also present at the ceremony were Yang Mulia Hajah Rosmiati binti Haji Abd. Majid, Acting Assistant Director (Corporate, Planning and Development) of Politeknik Brunei, Yang Mulia Dayang Rahimah binti Mohiddin, Acting Assistant Director (Academic), as well as several Heads of Divisions and Schools, officers from School of Business Politeknik Brunei and from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Brunei Darussalam Institute of Certified Public Accountants (BICPA).

The objective of this MOU is to establish, promote and develop cooperation and collaboration between Politeknik Brunei and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the areas of accountancy and tax professions and in the fields of research, education and training programmes of mutual interest.
