22 November 2025 – Politeknik Brunei (PB) today held the official opening of the Final Year Interior Design Student Exhibition 2025, themed “Echo (Gema)”, at Multipurpose Hall 5, The An-Naura. A total of 37 final-year Level 5 Diploma in Interior Design students from the School of Science and Engineering, Lumut Campus, showcased their works.
The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Amirul Shukri bin Haji Hafneh, alongside senior officers, invited guests, industry partners, academic staff, and Interior Design students from Intake 12 and 13.
Opening remarks were delivered by Ibrahim bin Haji Hashim, representing the Head of the School of Science and Engineering, who highlighted the creativity, dedication, and resilience demonstrated by the students in their final year.
The theme “Echo (Gema)” symbolises voices, memories, and traditions that resonate across time—reflecting how the exhibited works reinterpret spaces while preserving cultural and historical identity. The taglines “Echoes of the Past, Designs for the Future” and “Gema Ruang, Nadi Komuniti” further capture the students’ approach of honouring heritage while exploring fresh, community-centred design ideas.
The exhibition aims to spark creativity, inspire dialogue, and provide a platform for young designers to present innovative solutions to contemporary design challenges, while strengthening engagement with industry partners and enhancing public appreciation of interior design.
Politeknik Brunei extends its appreciation to all involved and congratulates the 37 final-year students for producing works that reflect maturity, vision, and readiness for the design industry.
