On 21 August 2025, the Innovation Award 2025 Competition was held as part of Politeknik Brunei’s 11th Convocation, offering students a platform to showcase creativity, explore ideas, and propose practical solutions with potential real-world impact.
The event, themed “Shaping a Sustainable and Greener Tomorrow”, emphasized sustainability, responsibility, and long-term impact. Out of 16 projects submitted, 7 were shortlisted as finalists, reflecting students’ hard work, curiosity, creativity & initiative. The Chairperson, Mohd Izuddin Mohd Asri, expressed gratitude to the judges, audience, and working committee for their support, concluding with prayers for blessings and success.
Projects were assessed on Uniqueness, Expected Benefits, Feasibility, and Presentation, encouraging both innovation and practical application. The Innovation Award serves as a key initiative to cultivate students’ critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while promoting original, technically sound, and impactful ideas. It welcomes entries from all disciplines and semesters, providing a valuable opportunity for students to experiment & grow while tackling real-world challenges.
