18 October 2025 – The Politeknik Brunei Sports Festival 2025 reached its peak with vibrant energy and strong sportsmanship at the Track and Field, Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex, serving as the highlight of a series of sporting events that have taken place over the past few weeks. This year’s festival is celebrated under the theme “Sustainability: Our Youths’ Way of Life,” reflecting Politeknik Brunei’s commitment to promoting sustainable living, teamwork, and holistic well-being among its students.

The ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dayang Rahimah binti Haji Mohiddin, Acting Assistant Director (Academic). Also present to enliven the event were Yang Mulia Hajah Dinah Haziqah binti Haji Johan, Acting Assistant Director (Corporate, Planning and Development); Yang Mulia Dayang Armah binti Tengah, Acting Principal; along with heads of divisions, heads of schools, lecturers, and students of Politeknik Brunei.

The event began with the singing of the national anthem followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah. It continued with welcoming remarks by the Yang Di-Pertua of the Politeknik Brunei Student Representative Council, who underscored the importance of unity, discipline, and sustainability in shaping responsible and active youth. The Sports Festival ceremony symbolised the spirit of unity, perseverance, and sportsmanship among the Politeknik Brunei community.

A key highlight of the event featured a marching performance by the four sports houses of Politeknik Brunei — Satria (Green), Hulubalang (Yellow), Perwira (Red), and Nakhoda (Blue) — each radiating pride and enthusiasm through their chants, flags, and coordinated displays, representing teamwork and youthful spirit. Following the performance, students led the Athletes’ Oath Recital, pledging to uphold integrity, sportsmanship, and teamwork throughout the festival while embodying the sustainability values reflected in this year’s theme.

The ceremony continued with track races of various distances as well as a fun sports relay race, which saw enthusiastic participation from both staff and students of Politeknik Brunei. The event also featured an award presentation ceremony by the Guest of Honour and other Politeknik Brunei officials, recognising the winners of all sporting competitions held throughout the Pesta Sukan 2025 series. Leading up to this celebratory occasion, a range of sports competitions had been held, including frisbee, pool, badminton, dodgeball, netball, futsal, rugby, football, e-sports, and bowling.
