Politeknik Brunei (PB) officially welcomed 807 new students as it commenced its Orientation Week for the 15th Intake, July 2025 Session, Academic Year 2025/2026. The launch event, held on 08th July 2025 at Munawwarah Hall, Setia Point, Berakas, marked a significant milestone for the incoming cohort—454 female and 353 male students—who are now set to embark on their academic journey with PB. The occasion celebrated not only the start of their educational pursuits but also the beginning of their growth, connection, and contribution within the vibrant PB community.
Politeknik Brunei Orientation Week began with the singing of the National Anthem led by Politeknik Brunei’s Student Council and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah. This was then followed by a keynote address from the guest of honour, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, YM Pengiran Dr. Saiful Baharin bin Pengiran Duraman, where he officiated the enrolment of the 15th Intake students for July 2025 session. In his address, the Guest of Honour took the opportunity to welcome the students accepted to further their studies at Politeknik Brunei.
Also present at the ceremony were Politeknik Brunei Assistant Director (Corporate, Planning and Development), Assistant Director (Principal), Assistant Director (Academic), Senate Members, Heads of Division, Centre and School and staff.
The ceremony continued with a pledge by the new Intake 15 students, led Awang Muhammad Ali Zahin @ Ismail bin Alisam, from Level 5 Diploma Programme in Health Sciences (Dental Hygiene and Therapy), School of Health Sciences, Politeknik Brunei. A total of 22 selected 15th Intake students led the recitation of the pledge for the new intake.
The main objective of this orientation is to showcase participation and cooperation while enlivening a sense of camaraderie between students and staff. The Orientation Week is also filled with programmes, briefing sessions and activities that are hoped to assist students’ in depth understanding about Politeknik Brunei and provide an insight into life as a Politeknik Brunei student.
