5 June 2025 – Politeknik Brunei held a Signing Ceremony to officially endorse the updated Module GS1101 Pengajian Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB), replacing the current version set to expire in 2028. This milestone reflects the institution’s commitment to preserving national values while preparing students for the future.
The event began with a speech by Hjh Armah binti Hj Tengah, Principal of Politeknik Brunei, expressing appreciation to members of the External Review Committee, comprising experts from various government agencies. A briefing by Cikgu Susanty binti Haji Samat confirmed that the revised module will be implemented starting from the 19th student intake in 2029 until 2033.
The review aimed to ensure the module aligns with industry and stakeholder needs while strengthening students’ understanding of Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB). It also focuses on equipping students with relevant knowledge and skills for the workforce, fostering both employability and a strong sense of national identity.
