Politeknik Brunei today held virtually the Recitation of Ratib Al-Attas and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in commemoration to the 10th Year Anniversary of Politeknik Brunei, with the main event held at the Politeknik Brunei Musholla, Jalan Ong Sum Ping, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Attending as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Hanipah binti Haji Apong, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei.
The event started with the recital of the Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the reading of the Ratib Al-Attas led by Yang Mulia Ustaz Awangku Haji Jamaludin bin Pengiran Haji Zainal and the Politeknik Brunei Students Representatives Council (Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Politeknik Brunei) members. The event ended with the reading of the Doa Kesyukuran led by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Alisanusi bin Haji Salim.
The event was held virtually through the Zoom platform dan Politeknik Brunei dedicated YouTube channel attended by Politeknik Brunei Heads of Division, Schools and Centres, officers, teaching and non-teaching staff, students as well as the public.
The event was held to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of Politeknik Brunei as one of the public higher education institutions in Brunei Darussalam, who had successfully produced 3,372 graduates since its operation in 2012 (Figure as of January 2021), with the vision to “Generating innovative and future-ready graduates” through its mission “To deliver industry-driven quality education and training.”
Politeknik Brunei had also successfully received 11 students’ intakes and is currently offering 31 programmes in the fields of business, information and communication technology (ICT), science and engineering, health sciences and petrochemical.
