POLITEKNIK SANDAKAN SABAH STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL VISIT TO POLITEKNIK BRUNEI

A delegation from Politeknik Sandakan Sabah, Malaysia, led by Students Affairs Officer, Awg Irwandih bin Mat Jaili, today held a visit to Politeknik Brunei, as one of the programmes scheduled in their visit to Brunei Darussalam.
The purpose of the visit was to learn on the management experiences of the Department of Student Affairs at Politeknik Brunei and to explore possibilities of cooperation between Politeknik Brunei and Politeknik Sandakan Sabah, Malaysia by strengthening ties between the two institutions.
Present to receive the delegation was the Acting Assistant Director of Politeknik Brunei, Awang Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar; the Head of Student Affairs Department, Pg Hjh Norkhairiah binti Pg Hj Hashim; and the Head of International and Public Relations Department, Dyg Hjh Azizan binti Dato Paduka Hj Othman as well as officers from Politeknik Brunei.
The visit began with a welcoming speech by Awang Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar, followed by remarks made by the Head of the Department of Student Affairs of Politeknik Brunei. This was then followed by a speech from the Head of the Delegation of Politeknik Sandakan Sabah, Malaysia.
A discussion between both institutions’ student representative council was then held to exchange information, experiences and share best practices to further improve the running of both Student Representative Councils as well as to organise joint activities. The discussion was led by Awang Baihaqi bin Salleh, the President of the Student Representative Council, Politeknik Brunei and Awang Al-Najib bin Benjamin, the President of the Student Representative Council Politeknik Sandakan Sabah, Malaysia.
The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the facilities available at Politeknik
